Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Men's Lacrosse Improves to 3-0

The Muhlenberg men's lacrosse team overcame a slow start to defeat Susquehanna, 16-10, and improve to 3-0 on the season.

Nine different players scored goals for the Mules, who have netted at least 15 goals in three consecutive games for the first time in program history. Leading the way was freshman Jack Kraemer, who scored five goals for his second straight hat trick.

Seniors Scott Fayan and Jake Whittingslow and sophomore James Dalimonte notched a pair of goals apiece, with Dalimonte reaching the 50-goal mark in just the 19th game of his career.

The River Hawks (0-5) scored three goals in the first 6:11 to take an early lead, but Muhlenberg responded by reeling off the next four, including the first career goal for freshman Dominick Visintin.

The game was tied 6-6 in the second quarter before three straight goals by freshmen - two by Kraemer and one by Alan Stoloff - put the Mules ahead to stay at 9-6.

After allowing a long goal at the end of the third quarter to make the score 13-10, the defense pitched a shutout in the fourth while the offense added three more goals to put the game out of reach.

Junior Matt Burke went 20-for-28 on faceoffs, becoming only the third different Muhlenberg player to win 20 faceoffs in a game. Burke (pictured above) also picked up a career-high 14 ground balls and recorded his first career point when he assisted on the first career goal for freshman longstick middie Connor Marston late in the third quarter.
