The shutout trend continues for the Muhlenberg women's soccer team, which picked up its fourth-straight shutout win to open the season. Clean sheet number four came by virtue of a 4-0 win over Delaware Valley.
Freshman
Noemi Di Cori opened the scoring by finishing a pass from junior
Carly Shaffer just outside the six-yard box 10 minutes in; it was her second goal in as many games.
The Mules (4-0) the erupted for three goals over the final 45 minutes, starting freshman
Emily DeAngelo finding the back of the net with a header 16 seconds into the second half. Junior
Isabel Schwartz was responsible for the final two goals, slipping a ball between the Aggies' keeper in the 80
th minute and rifling a shot from 35 yards out in the 88
th minute.
With a goal and an assist today, Di Cori leads the team with six points on the season. She has registered a point in three of her first four career games.
