The Muhlenberg women's soccer team played two-time defending Centennial Conference champion Swarthmore to a standstill for the first half before falling, 3-0.

The game was the third in a row, and the sixth of the season, for the Mules (7-6-2, 2-5-2) against a regionally ranked opponent. Although Muhlenberg went 0-4-2 in those six games, half of them went into overtime and another was decided in the final two minutes of regulation.

Against the Garnet (11-5, 5-4), ranked ninth in the Mid-Atlantic, senior Libby Juliano made nine saves, including five in the first half and two early in the second half to keep the game scoreless. But Swarthmore finally broke through off a corner kick and added two more goals.

Muhlenberg took six shots but was shut out for the first time in seven games.
