As it has in each of its first six wins this season, the Muhlenberg field hockey team's seventh win came via shutout, 4-0, over Moravian.
Â
The Mules did most of their damage in a three-goal second period, including scoring the first two 1:02 apart. To start the scoring, sophomore
Kristin Oberg was on the receiving end of a backdoor back pass from left to right from junior
Marlee Siegel that slid between the goalie's legs. Oberg was position right at the mouth of the cage to poke in her second goal of the year.
Â
Fresh off her first-career overtime winner Saturday, freshman
Alexandra Gann netted the frame's next two markers for her first career multi-goal game. She dribbled in from the left side of the circle and fired to the right side for her first, before cleaning up a scrum in front of the goal with less than five minutes left.
Â
Muhlenberg tested the Moravian goalkeeper 12 times on the night and out-cornered the Greyhounds (3-7) 13-5.
Â
The seven shutouts the Mules have thus far are the most since posting 11 in 2016.

Sigel (pictured above) finished with a career-high two assists on the night.
