Corey Goff to Leave Muhlenberg

Corey Goff, executive director of athletics and recreation since 2012, will leave Muhlenberg College at the end of the 2017-18 school year. He has accepted a position as director of athletics and physical education at Ransom Everglades School, an independent college preparatory school in Miami, Florida.

"I will forever be grateful to Muhlenberg and the tremendous collection of people who have helped make my 18-year tenure at the college such a positive and rewarding experience for my family and me," said Goff. "Go Mules!"

As athletic director, Goff managed Muhlenberg's 22 NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletic programs, intramural programs, club sports and recreation opportunities with responsibilities encompassing budget management, facilities management, capital improvement and athletic scheduling. During his tenure, Muhlenberg added its first full-time strength and conditioning coach as well as its first assistant director of athletics for student-athlete development, diversity and inclusion.

Goff served as part of a strategic advancement plan that resulted in a 300 percent increase in annual giving to the athletic department in five years. He also initiated the StepUP! Mules pro-social behavior and bystander intervention program and coordinated facilities enhancements, including the resurfacing of the outdoor track and John Deitrich Field House.

Goff, who served on numerous College committees and the Centennial Conference Board of Delegates, came to Muhlenberg in 2000 as an assistant football coach. He served as head baseball coach from 2006 to 2012 and was acting head football coach in 2017, leading the Mules to an 8-3 record and ECAC Bowl Game win.

Muhlenberg will commence a nationwide search for his replacement immediately.
