The Muhlenberg volleyball team opened the 2017 season with a perfect weekend, winning all four of its matches at Gettysburg's Battlefield Classic.
Sweeps of Penn State Altoona and Hood and four-set victories over St. Mary's (Md.) and Bethany (W.Va.) gave the Mules their first 4-0 start since 1994.
Of the four opponents, two earned postseason bids last year, with Altoona playing in the ECACÂ Tournament and Bethany earning an NCAA bid.
