After totaling 23 hits in its doubleheader the previous day, the Muhlenberg baseball team could not repeat the offensive performance in a 6-1 defeat at Dickinson.

The Mules (11-12, 2-4 CC) scored the first run of the contest. Senior
John Icaza doubled to start the fourth inning, and after a sacrifice bunt by sophomore
Chris Grillo moved him to third, sophomore
Matt Riebesell knocked Icaza home with his own double to right center. The RBI for Riebesell gives him 21 for the season.

The Red Devils (16-11, 3-3 CC) responded in the next half inning with a home run to go up 2-1. Muhlenberg could not generate more runs off Dickinson pitching as the Red Devils scored again in the fifth, seventh and eighth innings to build up its lead.

Sam Kasten struck out eight batters and lasted into the seventh inning, giving up six hits and two walks. Kasten now has 40 strikeouts this season and has fanned at least seven batters in each of his last four starts.

Icaza led the Mules with a 2-for-4 day offensively, moving him into eighth on the school's all-time hit list (156).

Matthew D'Ambrosia (pictured above) pitched the final 1
1/3 innings and recorded his 20th strikeout of the season. He has started his Muhlenberg career with a strikeout in each of his eight appearances.
