Baseball Shut Out

The day after scoring 17 runs in a night game at Coca-Cola Park, the Muhlenberg baseball team was held to three hits in a 10-0 shutout loss at Swarthmore.

Singles by seniors Robbie Hopes and Thomas Yohe and sophomore Matt Riebesell were all the Mules (12-13, 2-5) could muster on offense. The Garnet opened up a big lead early in the game, scoring four runs in the first and three in the second.

Senior Ryan Banks worked out of a bases-loaded jam to pitch a scoreless seventh, and junior Charlie Lekkas allowed no runs in the eighth.
