Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men's Basketball Honors Seniors

The Muhlenberg men's basketball team honored seniors Jon Schreer, John Hunter and Brandon LaRose before its final home game of the season, a 64-46 loss to Gettysburg.

The three seniors, who serve as team captains, have all been important contributors to the Mules since they arrived on campus, combining for more than 2,200 points, 1,000 rebounds, 400 assists, 150 blocked shots and 180 steals.

They have also been a part of 51 wins, but fell behind early and could not recover in their try for No. 52. The Bullets (8-15, 7-9) scored on their first seven possessions to open up a 14-5 lead, and the Mules (12-10, 7-9) got no closer than four points the rest of the game, trailing by double figures for most of the second half.

Schreer led Muhlenberg with 14 points, making a pair of three-pointers to increase his career total to 180 - good for 21st place in Centennial Conference history. Junior JeanLee Baez scored 12 points and pulled down eight rebounds, and sophomore Erik Werheim also hit double figures with 10 points.

Hunter, who came into the game leading all active CC players in career rebounds and blocked shots, scored two points and pulled down six boards. LaRose had an off-day shooting and finished with three points and two assists.
