The Muhlenberg men's basketball team fell behind in the first half and could not recover in an 82-55 defeat at Johns Hopkins.
The Mules (8-7, 4-6 CC) jumped out to an early lead thanks to two three-pointers from junior
Nick Rindock. The Blue Jays (11-6, 7-3 CC) tied the game with a three-pointer of their own before sophomore
Erik Werheim swished a jump shot to make it 10-8 Mules.
Johns Hopkins later took a lead but two triples by junior
Owen McLeod eventually tied the game at 16-16. The Blue Jays would score the next 13 points however to build a double-digit lead that remained for the rest of the game.
McLeod and Rindock both scored in double figures to lead the Mules. McLeod dropped 11 points, making three of his five three-pointers, while Rindock added 10 points along with four rebounds.
Junior
Sam McClellan grabbed a season-high seven rebounds to lead the team on the boards. He also tied his season-best total with five points. Junior
Nigel Long (pictured above) recorded a season-high two steals to go with four points and three rebounds.
