The five goals were the fewest allowed by the Mules in a Centennial Conference game since 2011. After the defense allowed two goals in the first 7:05, it shut out the Garnet for the next 31-plus minutes.
Muhlenberg rallied back from the 2-0 deficit by scoring three second-quarter goals, one each by senior

Brad D'Alessandro and sophomore
Niko Del Moro. D'Alessandro's goal was his 20th of the season.
Swarthmore netted the lone goal of the third quarter to tie the game and took a 4-3 lead early in the fourth. A rip from Del Moro with 7:35 to play tied the game for the third time.
The Garnet scored the go-ahead goal with 20 seconds left. The Mules won the ensuing faceoff and took two potential game-tying shots, but one was wide and the second was saved.
