Box Score

The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team scored 14 second-half goals to run away from St. Joseph's (L.I.) and set the school record for longest winning streak.

The Mules (7-0), already off to their best start ever and receiving votes in the Division III poll, had four players record hat tricks and two reach career milestones in the 18-7 win.

Junior Stephanie D'Ascoli and sophomore Jordy Bonvini scored four goals apiece, while senior Casey Armstrong and sophomore Eliza Clark netted three each.

Armstrong added three assists, and the six points gave her an even 200 for her career. She is the sixth Muhlenberg player to reach that level.

Junior Kelsey Nagle dished out a career-high six assists. The first gave her the 100th point of her career.

Playing a team that won a game in the NCAA Tournament last year, the Mules took a while to get going. They led 3-1 with seven minutes to go in the first half, but the Golden Eagles (2-4) scored the next three goals. D'Ascoli's first goal, off a pass from Nagle with 8.6 seconds left in the first half, brought the teams to a 4-4 tie at halftime.

For the third straight game, Muhlenberg dominated the second half. It was 5-5 early on before the Mules went on a 9-1 run in a span of a little more than 10 minutes. Clark scored all three of her goals in the run, while Nagle assisted on three.

Muhlenberg has not led at halftime in any of its last three games but has outscored its opponents 32-9 in the second halves of those games.

Bonvini (pictured above) notched a career-high 12 draw controls, helping the Mules to a 46-14 advantage in shots. Junior Allison Murnick caused two turnovers and picked up four ground balls.

Freshman Amanda Tullo scored two goals and added an assist, and classmate Emma Carmody contributed a goal and an assist.
