Armstrong's hat trick was doubly noteworthy - when she scored her third goal of the game 7:25 into the first half, it gave her 100 career goals. She is the 13th player in team history to reach the century mark.
Sherman, who did not have a hat trick in her first three years, notched her second in as many games this season. Her third goal came with 12:35 left in the first half and gave the Mules an 8-5 lead. The Knights (1-1) hung around and were still within three goals, at 11-8, early in the second half, but Muhlenberg closed strong, ending the game on a 9-1 run.
D'Ascoli added two assists to her four goals for a career-high six points, with Nagle and Bonvini also recording a pair of assists.
Junior
Nora Fisher scored two goals, and freshman
Amanda Tullo netted her first career points with a goal and an assist to go along with six draw controls, three ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Muhlenberg has scored 20 goals in at least one game every season since 2007.
