Four players scored in double figures as the Muhlenberg men's basketball team gave a valiant comeback effort in a 107-98 loss at Moravian in its season finale.

The Mules (11-14) had their biggest offensive performance of the season, eclipsing their previous season high by 12 points. The 205 combined points were the most for Muhlenberg in a regulation game since 1969.

Junior Jon Schreer led the team with 19 points, all coming in the second half. Junior Brandon LaRose scored 17 points, including 12 in the second half, and pulled down a career-high 11 rebounds for his first career double-double. He also chipped in with six assists.

Sophomore Nick Rindock recorded 14 points, all in the first half, to go along with eight rebounds. He was perfect from the foul line (6-for-6).

Junior John Hunter tallied 10 points and sophomore Owen McLeod added nine points and three steals off the bench.

With Muhlenberg down by seven (88-81) with 4:17 to go in the second half, Schreer buried a corner three to cut the deficit to four points. Fifteen seconds later, a Moravian player went in for a layup to extend the lead to 90-84, and the Greyhounds (11-14) never looked back.

Seniors Alec Stavetski and Nick Melosky (pictured above), playing in their final collegiate basketball game, helped the Mules offense with nine points and four points, respectively. Sophomore Sam McClellan added nine points and three steals.

Muhlenberg shot 46.7 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point territory.

Despite the loss, Muhlenberg still holds a commanding 8-2 lead in the 2015-16 Matte Award standings heading into the spring season.
