Elizabeth Garrison set the school record for digs in a season as the Muhlenberg volleyball team fell in its Centennial Conference semifinal match to top-seed Johns Hopkins 3-1.

The Mules (20-11) came back to take the first set 25-23, but the Blue Jays (18-8) built up momentum in the second set that sustained through the rest of the match, winning the three sets by scores of 25-12, 25-9, 25-18.

Garrison led Muhlenberg with 19 digs, setting the record for most in a season (543) by passing the mark of 538 done by Jen Weist in 2003.

Shannon Hubert had 22 assists, becoming the seventh Mule to go over 1,600 assists in her career in just two seasons. She has 921 this season, the third most for a Mule ever.

Kelly Tornetta led the Mules with nine kills to go with eight digs. Freshman
Maggie Enestvedt finished with eight kills and 14 digs.

Muhlenberg fought point-for-point with the Blue Jays to knot the first set at 17-17. The Blue Jays then took a three-point advantage before the Mules brought it back within one at 22-21.

After Muhlenberg took a timeout down 23-21, the team won the next four points to close the stanza, capping it off with a service ace from senior
Allison Glass.

Johns Hopkins climbed ahead to start the second set before taking it 25-12. The Blue Jays sustained that momentum into the third set to jump ahead 2-1 in the match.

Muhlenberg rallied in the fourth set, taking a 4-2 lead on two straight kills from Enestvedt. The Blue Jays, however, won seven of the next nine points to help build an advantage before ending the match with a 25-18 fourth-set win.
