The Muhlenberg volleyball team closed out its regular season by splitting a pair of matches at Eastern, defeating Lycoming in four sets after falling to the nationally ranked host team in three.
Â
Down the road a little bit, Haverford scored a five-set win against Swarthmore in a Centennial Conference match. That left the Mules in a three-way tie with Haverford and Franklin & Marshall for third place in the CC. Haverford won the tiebreaker to earn the third seed. Muhlenberg (19-10) is the fourth seed and will host F&M in a first-round playoff match on Wednesday.

The Mule offense was rolling in the Lycoming match, hitting at a .315 clip. Freshman
Maggie Enestvedt and sophomore
Kelly Tornetta led the team with 17 and 16 kills, respectively, both going over 300 kills for the season.
Â
Tornetta (302) and Enestvedt (300) are just the second pair of Muhlenberg teammates to each record 300 kills in a season in the last 13 years, and they are the first pair of underclassmen to accomplish the feat. Enestvedt is just the third Mule freshman with a 300-kill season.
Â
Freshman
Madison Forrest hit .545 on 7 kills in 11 attempts against Lycoming, and when she wasn't setting her teammates, sophomore
Shannon Hubert hit .615 with nine kills in 13 tries. Hubert dished out 46 assists to go over 1,500 for her career and move into third place on the program's single-season list with 864.
Â
Senior
Elizabeth Garrison totaled 24 digs in the two matches, moving into third place on the Mules' all-time list with 1,418. She also became the fourth Muhlenberg player with at least 500 digs in a season (513).
