The Muhlenberg men's soccer team came back from an early deficit to tie local rival Moravian, 1-1. The draw extended the Mules' unbeaten streak against the Greyhounds to 14 games.
Moravian (4-4-2) headed in a cross just 3:51 into the game, but the Muhlenberg defense pitched a shutout the rest of the way.
The Mules (3-6-3) drew even early in the second half when senior
Phil Rahling blasted in a long shot for his first goal of the season and the ninth of his career.
Muhlenberg had a golden chance to win at the end of regulation, but a shot by senior
Nick Sarkos went off the crossbar.

Alex Tomko made three of his four saves in the two overtime periods to keep the game tied. The Mules have played three ties this season, all 1-1 and all at home.
The tie left the 2016-17 Matte Award standings tied at 1-1-1. The next scheduled Matte contest is in women's soccer at Muhlenberg on October 25.
