Nick Palladino eclipsed 10,000 yards of total offense for his career as the Muhlenberg football team battled to win 33-30 at Susquehanna in a back and forth affair.

The lead changed eight times over the course of the game as the Mules (4-1, 3-1 CC) amassed 422 total yards of offense in a game where rain fell on and off during the contest. The Mules trailed 30-27 late in the fourth quarter before Palladino hit running back
Nick Savant for a 73-yard touchdown pass on a screen play to put Muhlenberg up with 5:44 left.
The defense stopped Susquehanna (2-3, 2-2 CC) on fourth down on its final drive and the offense ran the clock out from there to secure the road victory.

Palladino finished the game 13 for 29 passing with 270 yards and two touchdowns and he also ran for 28 yards and a score. The quarterback became the only active Division III player with 10,000 yards of total offense in his career and only the seventh across all NCAA divisions. With the three combined scores, Palladino also broke the Centennial Conference record for touchdowns in a career (95) previously held by Ron Sermarini of McDaniel.

Savant paced the running game, going for a game-high 131 yards to record his fourth straight 100-yard rushing game. Wide receiver
Nick Lamb led all Muhlenberg receivers with five catches for 132 yards and a touchdown. He also amassed 138 return yards to finish with 270 all-purpose yards.

The defense came up with the first touchdown for Muhlenberg. Senior cornerback
John Feaster intercepted a River Hawks pass at its own 13-yard line and returned it for a touchdown, his 12th interception of his career.

Susquehanna answered two plays into their next drive to tie it at 7-7 and took the lead at the end of the first quarter on a field goal. Two plays into the following Muhlenberg drive, Palladino connected with Lamb on a 75-yard pass down the right sideline for a touchdown to put the Mules back up 14-10.

The River Hawks kicked another field goal before scoring on a 26-yd pass play to retake a 20-14 lead. Lamb received the ensuing kickoff at the nine-yard line and ran it back for a 91-yard touchdown, giving Muhlenberg a 21-20 halftime lead.

Susquehanna kicked another field goal to go up 23-21 early in the third quarter. On Muhlenberg's third drive of the period, Palladino capped off a seven-play series with a 16-yard scamper up the middle for a touchdown and a 27-23 lead.

Muhlenberg's defense stopped the River Hawks on fourth down deep in its own territory the following drive, but Palladino threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown to put Susquehanna up 30-27 with 8:16 to go. Palladino threw his second touchdown on the following drive to win the game for Muhlenberg.

Matt Musilli recorded a sack to go with three tackles, while defensive backs

Thomas Cosgriff and
Mike Luby each had 2.5 tackles for loss in the game.
