Santone, Vallely Record Double-Doubles

Box Score

Senior Christina Santone and sophomore Brandi Vallely recorded double-doubles, but McDaniel rode a second-half surge to defeat the Muhlenberg women's basketball team, 65-59.

Santone scored 12 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to go along with four blocked shots. Vallely, the NCAA Division III leader in assists per game, handed out 11 assists and pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds.

Sophomore Christina Manning led the ninth-ranked Mules (10-1, 5-1) with 16 points, and classmate Rachel Plotke added 14.

In a rematch of the 2015 Centennial Conference championship game, Muhlenberg shot 52 percent in the first half to open up a 36-20 lead at the break. The Green Terror (10-3, 5-1), held to 19-percent shooting in the first 20 minutes, got hot after halftime and went on an 18-0 run in the third and fourth quarters to turn the game around.
