On a day of firsts, the most important one for the Muhlenberg women's soccer team was its first win of the season.

Four different Mules scored, including three who netted their first goal of the season and two who notched their first career goal, in a 4-1 win at DeSales.

Sophomore Carly DeNigris started the scoring by placing a long shot over the head of the Bulldog keeper 13:23 into the game for her first goal of the season. Muhlenberg doubled its lead at 26:19 when sophomore Phoebe Shields converted a pass from freshman Emily Jordan. It was the first career goal for Shields (pictured above).

The Bulldogs (5-4) scored just 35 seconds later to cut the lead to 2-1.

The Mules regained their two-goal advantage early in the second half when a pair of freshmen combined for their first career points. Sarah Theurer fed Siobhán McKenna, who beat the DeSales goalie inside the right post.

Jordan capped the scoring with her second goal of the season on a free kick with 11:05 to play.

Muhlenberg had a 19-4 advantage in shots.
