Jeff Morris '82 Field

Jeff Morris '82 Field, located at the corner of Liberty and 26th Streets, has been in continuous use since the inception of the men's soccer program in 1943. It is the home of the Muhlenberg soccer teams and the women’s lacrosse team.

The venue was renovated in several ways in 2023, most notably replacing the grass surface with synthetic turf, which features a FieldTurf CORE-2 system. CORE's three-layer infill system has shown a significantly lower incidence of injuries per research conducted at Idaho State University. Other enhancements included updated walkways to the field's bleachers and parking areas, upgraded player structures, new netting at the field's corners, updated branding, and improved resources for game-time videography. The women’s lacrosse team began its use of the field during the 2024 season.

Morris Field has hosted numerous NCAA Tournament soccer matches over the years, including men's single games in 1972, 1995, 1997, and 2003; a men's regional in 1989, 1991, 1994, and 2014; a men's sectional in 2010 and 2014; women's single games in 2002; and the women’s regional in 2001 and 2003.

Due in part to tremendous support from the campus and surrounding community, both Mule soccer teams have enjoyed a home-field advantage.

Formerly known as Varsity Field, it was dedicated on October 18, 2025, to commemorate the life of former Mules goalkeeper and captain Jeff Morris.
