Men Place Fourth with Two More Golds

Two gold medals on the last day of the meet propelled the Muhlenberg men's track and field team to a fourth-place finish at the Centennial Conference Championships. It was the highest finish for the Mules at a complete CC outdoor meet since 2017.

The women claimed a silver medal on the third day and finished in eighth place.

Sophomore Noel House and junior John Panny won the golds, giving the men's team three for the meet.

House (pictured above left) captured the javelin with a heave of 186-3 on his first attempt. The mark went unchallenged through the rest of the competition, making House a champion in his first-ever CC meet. Muhlenberg has won the men's javelin gold seven times since 2012.

Panny (pictured above right) garnered his first career gold in the triple jump after previously winning two bronze medals and a silver. His winning leap of 45-11¾ broke a 13-year-old school record and makes him the Mules' first outdoor CC triple jump champion.

Junior Elek Ferency won his second bronze medal of the meet, claiming third in the shot put. He placed in the top four in three throwing events. Throwers accounted for 45 of the Mules' 81 points.

The 4x400-meter relay team of sophomores Trevor Hitchcock and Noah Halterman-Mitchell and juniors James Nye and Russell Neuwirth closed the meet by winning bronze.

For the women, senior Abby Dalton (pictured above center) earned a silver medal in the 1500 meters. It was her highest career CC placing; she previously won two bronzes.
