After more than a month off from competing, the Muhlenberg track and field teams returned to action at the Moravian Indoor Invitational at Lehigh.
The teams combined for 21 new or improved Centennial Conference qualifiers and three finishes in the top three.
Senior
Abby Dalton was responsible for the Mules' lone first-place finish, winning the mile by more than 10 seconds with a regional-qualifying time. She also anchored the 4x400 relay team that came in fifth.Â
Freshman
Erin Jackson, making her Muhlenberg track and field debut, placed seventh in the 800 and also ran a leg on the 4x400 team.
Another 4x400 runner, junior
Annabel Jacobs, won her heat in both the 60 and the 200, placing ninth overall in the latter.
All three Mules in the women's weight throw - senior
Corrin Ferrizzi, sophomore
Faith Fezenko and freshman
Erica Borbi - recorded personal bests. Throwing the weight for only the second time in a meet, Ferrizzi
(pictured above right)Â came within three inches of the school record.
For the men, sophomore
JJ Ramirez-Rojas (pictured above left)Â had an outstanding first meet of the season, qualifying for the Centennial Conference Championships in three different events (60, 200, long jump).
Senior
Ben Arehart recorded the highest finish by an indvidual, coming in third in the high jump with a regional-qualifying height. Sophomore
