Men's Golf Fifth at Moravian

The Muhlenberg men's golf team battled through blustery conditions at scenic Olde Homestead Golf Club to finish fifth out of 11 teams at the Moravian Spring Classic.

The Mules were led by freshman Alex McCauley, who continued his steady spring play with a 78 to tie for fifth place in a field of 59. Senior Jake Ghamar was one stroke behind McCauley with a 79, one off his career low. Ghamar made two birdies to open his round, including a 50-footer on the 10th hole.

Freshman Charlie Kerprich shot an 80. He and McCauley both birdied the par-5 12th. Kerprich also birdied the 355-yard par-4 15th hole.

Senior Bobby Lewit and junior Aron Gianchandani both shot 92. Lewit (pictured above) made his first birdie as a member of the golf team on the par-5 8th hole and added another birdie on the 12th hole.
