The best start in program history has earned the Muhlenberg men's lacrosse team some national recognition.
The Mules received votes in the third United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association poll of the 2018 season. It's the first time the team has received votes in the poll since 2008.
Muhlenberg is 5-0 for the first time ever, topping the previous program best of a 4-0 start in 2003. The Mules are one of only five teams in Division III that has played at least five games and is still undefeated.
Among the teams Muhlenberg has defeated are 5-2 Scranton, whose only other loss is to No. 6 Cortland, and 4-1 Rhodes.
The Mules have outscored their five opponents by an average of 6.00 goals per game and lead the Centennial Conference in scoring defense and faceoff winning percentage.
