Two Muhlenberg sophomores on 3-0 teams won weekly honors from the Centennial Conference, both for the first time.

Matthew D'Ambrosia was named baseball pitcher of the week, and Garrett Pope was selected as men's lacrosse defensive player of the week.

D'Ambrosia pitched eight innings of scoreless baseball in an 8-0 win against Southern Vermont, helping the Mules open the season with a shutout for the first time in 53 years. He allowed only four hits and struck out a career-high nine batters, facing the minimum three hitters in five of his eight innings.

Pope compiled a 7.00 goals-against average and .659 save percentage as Muhlenberg won two games in which it was outshot to improve to 3-0 for the first time in 11 years. Pope set a career high with 13 saves in an 8-6 win at Susquehanna, then topped that with 14 in a 9-8 defeat of Scranton.
