The Muhlenberg volleyball team received three votes and was named on more than one ballot in this week's
American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III poll.
The Mules are 17-2 entering tonight's Centennial Conference home match against Bryn Mawr and have an 11-game winning streak - two short of the school record and tied for the ninth-longest current streak in Division III.
The only other year Muhlenberg received votes in the national poll was 2014, when it opened the season by winning 20 of its first 22 matches.
Johns Hopkins, the Mules' opponent on Saturday, is ranked 23rd in the poll. Also of note: Stevenson, one of the two teams to beat Muhlenberg, received 49 votes, and Scranton - 20-1 with its lone loss coming to the Mules - received 29 votes.
Muhlenberg has played one of the toughest schedules in Division III with an opponents' winning percentage of .634.

The team will be playing for something more than wins and rankings in its upcoming matches. Next Saturday's home tri with Gettysburg and Clarkson will be a #RallyforReagan day in honor of a brave little girl who recently was diagnosed with a form of pediatric cancer known as Wilms' Tumor.
The Mules have set team goals to help educate others, raise funds for the oncology unit at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and help support Reagan and her family. They will be selling t-shirt and wristbands and raising money at the following site:
