Muhlenberg basketball senior
Jon Schreer and junior
Chelsea Gary were recognized as members of the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Scholar-Athlete Team.

Schreer, a three-year starter and team captain this season, is averaging 11.9 points per game while shooting 42.4 percent from the floor and 41.9 percent from three-point range. He is second on the team in scoring and steals (16).
Schreer is currently third in school history in three-pointers made in a career with 157. He made a career-high seven three-pointers in the Scotty Wood Tournament championship game on his way to becoming tournament MVP.
A biology major with a focus toward pre-medicine, Schreer made the Dean's List one semester and is hoping to become an army medic after he graduates from Muhlenberg before eventually applying to medical school. Last semester, Schreer completed a senior research project centered on centipedes.
"Jon was an easy choice for me," said head men's basketball coach
Scott McClary. "Watching him for the last three and a half years now, he represents exactly what it means to be a student athlete. He works just as hard at both, puts in a tremendous amount of time at both and neither one steals from the other. I think it's a great example to all the rest of our team of how you are supposed to approach that balance. He really did it from day one, and I'm really proud of him."

Gary, who moved into the starting lineup this season, leads the Mules and is currently top five in the Centennial Conference in rebounding and blocks. She is averaging 8.5 rebounds per game and 2.8 blocks per game to go with 12.3 points per game, good for second on the team.
Gary put forth back-to-back double-doubles in the Scotty Wood Tournament to also earn MVP honors, including a career-best 24 points and 16 rebounds against Immaculata. She currently ranks seventh on the team's all-time blocks list with 83 in her career.
A double major in finance and business administration with a management and organization concentration, Gary was named to the CC Academic Honor Roll last season and has made the Dean's List one semester.
"Chelsea has been a great player for us this year stepping into a starting role," said head women's basketball coach
Ron Rohn. "She's putting up all-conference kind of numbers and is a great leader for our freshmen and our team across the board. I'm looking forward to not just one but two more years with Chelsea."
