The Muhlenberg volleyball team's homecourt advantage will come on a different court beginning this fall.

No, the Mules aren't moving out of Memorial Hall. But instead of playing on the hardwood floor, they will serve, dig, block and attack on a Matéflex ProGym floor.
The court consists of interlocking tiles that are assembled over a rubber subfloor on top of the hardwood. The high-performance flooring system is the official court of the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Muhlenberg is one of only a handful of Division III schools that have a Matéflex floor. The Mules played on one last season when they competed in a tournament at Clarkson.
"This court will provide our program an atmosphere of a volleyball arena," said head coach
Alexa Keckler. "In addition to the exciting appearance, this court will provide a more absorbent surface that will help with injury prevention and limit humidity issues during warmer weather.
"We are ecstatic to be able to use these courts for practice, matches, club tournaments and camps."
Muhlenberg has compiled a 64-29 (.688) record over the last three years, reaching the Centennial Conference final twice, and is 28-10 in Memorial Hall during that span.
