Four wins for Muhlenberg highlighted a long day of Centennial Conference wrestling at Memorial Hall, featuring six teams and six matches and lasting nearly nine hours from start to finish.

Sophomore Ben Peck (141), senior Jim Coiley (165) and sophomore Jake Gordon (174) scored wins in a 36-10 loss to Merchant Marine, while senior Zach Goldrosen earned a win at 197 in a 44-3 loss to 22nd-ranked New York University.

After a scoreless first, Peck started the second period down but scored a quick reversal. A third-period takedown provided the icing on the cake for his 6-2 decision.

Coiley, wrestling for the first time since the middle of November, also notched a reversal early in the second period, extending his lead to 3-0 after he picked up a penalty point in the first. After his opponent escaped, Coiley (pictured above) scored a takedown with 15 seconds left in the period to go up 5-1.

Coiley was reversed in the third period but held on for a 5-3 win, much to the delight of his cheering section.
 

Gordon was impressive in a 15-4 major decision in the next bout. Down 2-1 after the first period, he registered a reversal, two near-falls and a takedown in the second period to build an 11-3 lead. He added another reversal and takedown in the third to close out the match.

Goldrosen picked up his second CC win of the season against NYU. He took his opponent down 39 seconds into the first period and rode him out the rest of the period, adding a two-point near-fall along the way for a 4-0 lead. Goldrosen sealed the 7-3 decision with a takedown in the third period.

Senior Che Chengsupanmit wrestled an entertaining bout at 157 against Merchant Marine, falling 13-12 on riding time.
