Complete ResultsThe Muhlenberg men's golf team closed out a successful fall season with another impressive performance at the Franklin & Marshall Fall Invitational.
The Mules came in second out of 19 teams with a score off 299 - the second time in the last eight days that they've come in under 300. They shot a record 293 in winning the Muhlenberg Invitational last Monday, and prior to that they had only two sub-300 rounds in their history.
Muhlenberg came in five strokes behind tournament host F&M, the two-time defending Centennial Conference champion, which is six spots out of the top 25 in the Division III poll.
Freshman
Ben Lieberman shot a one-over-par 72 to tie for fifth place, topping his previous low round by two strokes. Lieberman
(pictured above) is the fourth different Mule to shoot 72 or lower this fall (last year only two did) and ended the fall with a team-best stroke average of 75.2.
Another freshman,
Ian Simon, came in with a 74, two strokes better than junior
John Froberg. Senior
Jonathan Graulich shot a 77 for the third straight tournament.
In its eight fall tournaments, Muhlenberg finished first twice and second four times.
